Brooks-Keret, Signal Business host investor speed dating
Law firm Appelfeld Appelfeld Zer Fisher awarded grants to two start-ups to register patents.
Financial management firm Brooks-Keret Ltd. and Signal Business Development Ltd. hosted an investors speed dating event last week for 16 biomedical and cleantech start-ups. The start-ups made six-minute presentations to the investors, and then held one-on-one meetings with them.
7 Health Ventures, Evergreen Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Sequoia Capital, private equity funds, and angel investors participated. Appelfeld Appelfeld Zer Fisher, Advocates and Patent Attorneys awarded grants to two of the start-ups to register patents: smart irrigation solutions developer Accurate Watering Ltd., and Implant Protection Ltd., which is developing an orthopedic solution for the prevention of erosion of artificial joints.
