The Israel Electric Company (IEC) launched a new business unit in the framework of a technology incubator to promote ideas related to alternative energy, energy-savings, energy efficiency, and quality of the environment. The unit will select a limited number of ideas to form very early stage start-up companies.

Each company will receive NIS 2 million for development, research, and marketing. They will also have access to the IEC's extensive physical infrastructure and marketing network.
